David Hall and Roger Ames are important person in the field of comparativethought between China and West in recent years. They have got a general view aboutChinese and West culture through their three cooperative books: Think throughConfucius, Anticipating China, Thinking from the Han. However there are few thesesgenerally talking about their achievements, my thesis mainly talks about their basicviews about Chinese and Western culture, their comparative methodology and itsconcrete application.We hold that we can make use of their method andachievements in a lager degree, but at the same time we should pay attention totheir shortcomings so as to make contribution to comparative culture.
