Chinese Medicine Treatment Of Pulmonary Fibrosis Effects, Biological Mechanisms And Their Associated Keywords Literature Search And Commentary

With the help of China HowNet CNKI series database and U. S. PubMed database, respectively with such keywords as "pulmonary fibrosis","acupuncture and moxibustion","TCM prescriptions","animal experiment","EMT","TGF-β","IFN-γ","TNF-α","PDGF","epithelial-mesenchymal transition","transforming growth factor-β","interferon-γ ","tumor necrosis factor-α " and "platelet-derived growth factor", by retrieving through the documents of traditional Chinese medicine journals, traditional Chinese-Western medicine journals and related Western medicine journals both in China and abroad from the years of2000to2012, The author divides the related documents into two parts which consist of the domestic literatures and foreign ones. At the same time, the author, by searching through the Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a key national electronic publication series, with "pulmonary fibrosis","TCM prescriptions" and "moxibustion" as the respective keywords, together with an additional retrieving through the related data from Ancient Books and Records of China kept in the library of Institute of ancient TCM literature, Chengdu University of TCM, studies and summarizes the related documents on treatment of atrophic lung disease by TCM prescriptions and moxibustion.With a comprehensive approach of methods of TCM philology and the related modern scientific knowledge, the author, while making a contrastive and systematic analyze and study on the related documents, explores the present situation and laws of pulmonary fibrosis of TCM treatment both in China and abroad, in order to find out the weak points and innovating points in present study of pulmonary fibrosis of TCM treatment, and to provide philology support for both the study and practice of TCM diagnosis and treatment for pulmonary fibrosis.
