Clinical Curative Effect Observation Of Tongdu Zhiyu Acupuncture On Different Symptons PSD

Objective: In this paper, we research into the clinical curative effects of patientssuffered from different syndromes post-stroke depression(PSD) after the treatment ofTongdu zhiyu acupuncture. After comparison of the curative effects, a conclusion wasmade that Tongdu zhiyu acupuncture have a effective treatment of a certain kind ofPSD. This experiment is expected to offer a reliable curative evidence for the capacityof Tongdu zhiyu acupuncture to cure PSD.Methods: In the study,60patients were screened from the Second Affiliated Hospitalof Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, these patients conformed thestandards of post-stroke depression. According to syndrome differentiation oftraditional Chinese medicine, syndrome of qi depression transforming into fire (19cases), syndrome of deficiency of both heart and spleen (13cases), asthenia of liverand kidney (16cases), syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis (12cases)were obtained. On the basis of conventional treatment, Tongdu zhiyu acupuncture wasused to cure60cases of PSD patients, then scores of the four syndrome patientsbefore and after the treatment of HAMD, MESSS, ADL and changes in curative effectbetween the four groups were invesitigated.Results: Tongdu zhiyu acupuncture on depression, neurologic deficits and daily lifeactivities ability of four syndromes patients had significant or very significantdifference (P <0.05or P <0.01) via contrast or comparison between groups after fourweeks. The total effective rate of syndrome of qi depression transforming into fire,asthenia of liver and kidney, syndrome of deficiency of both heart and spleen,syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis were88.89%,86.67%,69.23%,75.00%, respectively; There were significant differences between qi depressiontransforming into fire group, asthenia of liver and kidney group and deficiency of bothheart and spleen group, intermingled phlegm and blood stasis group (P <0.05). There were no significant differences between qi depression transforming into fire groupand asthenia of liver and kidney group (P>0.05). There were no significantdifferences between deficiency of both heart and spleen group and intermingledphlegm and blood stasis group (P>0.05).Conclusion: Tongdu zhiyu acupuncture had obvious effects on PSD, which caneffectively improve depression, nerve function defect and daily life activities ability inpatients with PSD; Tongdu zhiyu acupuncture on PSD patients with syndrome of qidepression transforming into fire was similar to PSD patients with asthenia of liverand kidney via comparing clinical curative effect. Moreover, their clinical curativeeffect were markedly superior to PSD patients with syndrome of deficiency of bothheart and spleen and syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis, but had noobvious difference in patients with syndrome of deficiency of both heart and spleenand syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis.
