The Status Of Tuberculosis In Wujiang City And Control Measures

Objective: To understand the status of tuberculosis control in Wujiang City,provide the basis for effective control of tuberculosis, and the scientific development ofWujiang TB control strategies.Subject and Method: Basing on Chinese disease control prevention and controlinformation system of TB reporting system in WuJiang,, the data was collected, andanalysed by using Excel data, and by using SPSS17.0to set up database for statisticalanalysis of survey data.Result: From2005to2010, the registration rate of active tuberculosis cases,increased from54.14/100000, to63.78/100000, from34.43%to54.31%for percentageof smear positive cases. Smear-positive cure rate is above85%,100%for coverage ofthe DOTS strategy after we join the Global Fund Program for tuberculosis preventionand treatment among mobile population.384Cases with new smear positive pulmonarytuberculosis patients in the3years(2007-2010) were discovered,335cases withpulmonary tuberculosis cured, the cure rate was87.24%. Meanwhile, the medicalpersonnel for treatment of TB was shortage of, management capacity needs to bestrengthened. It is difficult to manage the floating population. There are otherdifficulties and problems simultaneously such as an increasement in drug-resistantpatients, TB knowledge inadequate publicity..Conclusion: From2006-2010, the cure rate of smear-positive tuberculosis patientshas continued to achieve over85%through the national TB control program(2001-2010),so the tuberculosis control and prevention in WuJiang are generally ingood condition. Since2007,we join in the Global Fund Program, the registration rateof the floating population active tuberculosis cases increased year by year, because thismeasure can attract local patients to stay in treatment, patient compliance is improved, thus the standard of the patient cure rate and treatment success rate were obtained toaccordingly enhance tuberculosis control effect.The main populations of tuberculosisprevention in Wujiang is15-34years old and65-75years old age group,farmers.In thenext stage, the tuberculosis prevention and control plans should be worded out: Improvethe tuberculosis prevention service system.The number of relevant staff for tuberculosiscontrol should be increased. Organization structure should be improved;staff trainingshould be strengthened and staff stabilization should be maintained.Strengthen theoverall supervision of the chemical treatment, improve the cure rate oftuberculosis.Strengthen supervision and inspection routine disease control; Increaseinvestment in tuberculosis medical. Finally, awareness of population at all levels ontuberculosis control and prevention and relevant policies should be raised by spreadingthe knowledge more widely. And countermeasures on tuberculosis control andprevention of mobile population should be further studied.
