| Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe the immediate pain relief for blood stasis type of migraine during the acute stage on two methods auricular needle and routine acupuncture, and provide the preference for making optimal scheme in treating migraine.Methods:56cases of migraine patients during the acute stage were randomly divided into two groups, the treatment group (n=27) and the control group (n=29). The treatment group received auricular needle therapy, while the control group received routine acupuncture therapy. Each patient was treated only once, and was observed at the end of treatment, half an hour and24hours after treatment, and evaluates the improvement of pain relief according to the score and a measure ruler.Results:(1) It showed significant difference on the improvement of pain relief before and after treatment in each group (P<0.01).(2) There were no significant differences on the improvement of pain relief at the end of the treatment,0.5h and24hours after treatment between two groups (P>0.05).(3) Compared the total effective rate between the treatment group (88.9%) and the control group (79.3%), there was no significant difference (P>0.05).(4) It showed no significant differences on the improvement of pain relief at the end of the treatment,0.5h and24hours after treatment in treatment group (P>0.05).(5) It showed significant differences at the end of treatment and0.5h after treatment compared to24hours after treatment in control group (P<0.01, P<0.05).Conclusion:(1) Auricular needle therapy and regular acupuncture therapy both can obviously release the pain of migraine during the acute stage.(2) There are no significant differences on either pain relief in each observe stage or the total efficiency between two groups.(3) Auricular needle therapy has more stable analgesic effect in each observe stage after treatment, while the effect of regular acupuncture therapy has the best effect in24h after treatment.(4) Auricular needle therapy works fast with obvious effect, more convenient to operate and well received by patients, therefore is worth in clinical promotion. |
