Preliminary Study Of Children With Cough Variant Asthma Syndrome Distribution From Cough Hour Rule

Objective:To preliminary study of children with cough variant asthma syndrome distribution from Cough hour rule, discuss the central tendency and the mechanism, and provide a reference for diagnosis and treatment of the disease.Methods:We recorded the Patients’age, sex and the time of CVA onset and the syndrome types in TCM about who admitted to First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February2013to February2014.Calculated the constituent ratio of each syndrome types and observed whether each syndrome type had peak time of CVA onset by circular statistical analysis.Results:In162cases of children with cough variant asthma,the incidence rate of each syndrome type was:Phlegm-heat Obstructing the Lung (25.93%)>Deficiency Hyperactivity (20.37%)>Phlegm-damp Accumulating in the Lung (18.52%)>Qi Deficiency in the Lung and Spleen (15.43%)>The anger violates the lung (13.58%)>Inner-drink cold outside (6.17%)。 The onset of CVA occurs most frequently through out the day at7:04,as the fifth of the twelve two-hour periods,mainly occurred in the fifth, forth and first of the twelve two-hour periods, CVA mainly occurs in the morning and at night. The Peak of Phlegm-heat Obstructing the Lung and Phlegm-damp Accumulating in the Lung was8:25and8:15,the fifth of the twelve two-hour periods, mainly occurred in the forth and fifth of the twelve two-hour periods; and a marked circadian rhythm in the frequency of onset in the Deficiency Hyperactivity was detected, with a pick time in23:28,the first of the two-hour periods, mainly in the last and first of the twelve two-hour periods; there was no significant circadian variation of insufficiency of in the Lung and Spleen, the anger violates the Lung and Inner-drink cold outside.Conclusion:The major syndrome types of CVA in the162children are Phlegm-heat Obstructing the Lung and Deficiency Hyperactivity. CVA mainly occurs in the morning and at night; Phlegm-heat Obstructing the Lung and Phlegm-damp Accumulating in the Lung occurred mainly in the morning, and the Deficiency Hyperactivity occurred mainly in night.
