Objectives:To decrease occurrence of Cubitus varus through using brace to interfere in supracondylar fractures of humerus.Methods:From2010.3to2012.1,There were48patients with supracondylar fractures of humerus. Type of Gartland1adopt expectant treatment.Divided by two group;one group are not used braces,two group are used brace; Type of Gartland2and3adopt operation treatment. Also Divided by two group;one group are not used braces,two group are used brace. They are followed up after12months. To measure angle of carryingand Baumann afte3,6and12months and oberserved function of elbow joint, according to Flynn evaluation criteria.Results:48patients were1-year follow-up. The last follow-up, the brace of the conservative treatment group Carrying angle (9.98±2.43±) higher than that of the control group (7.79±2.25±)(P<0.05); brace of surgical treatment group (10.07±2.00°) Carrying angle higher than the control group (7.90±2.12°),(P<0.05).The conservative treatment bracing Group Baumann angle (71.81±5.83°) than the control group (77.16±5.21°),(P<0.05); brace group of surgical treatment Baumann angle (70.69±5.50°) than the control group (75.91±5.61°),(P<0.05).Accordance with the Flynn clinical function to evaluate the clinical efficacy of conservative treatment, the the brace group observed indicators than the control group; surgery, the brace group observed indicators with the control group showed no significant difference.Conclusion:Using Brace can decrease degree of Cubitus varus. It is a new way to prevent to take place Cubitus varus. |
