Law Of Chinese Medicine And Prescriptions Corresponding To The Pulse Manifestations Of The Medical Records Related To Emotions In Ming And Qing Dynasties And The Period Of Republic Of China

Objective:To establish the information database including the pulse manifestations, Chinese medicine and prescriptions of the medical records related to emotions in Ming and Qing Dynasties and the period of republic of China and explore the law of Chinese medicine and prescriptions corresponding to the pulse manifestations. Methods:Using pulse, Cun, Guan, Chi, left and right, as the primary keywords and emotional words as secondary keywords, the pulse and the Chinese medicine prescription information database of the Ming and Qing Dynasties medical records related to emotions was established including1279cases with pulse and Chinese medicine record screened from Chinese Medical Canon which were caused by emotions or manifested as emotional symptoms. Information was analyzed by SPSS CLEMENTINE12.0for Windows to convert the text data into digital variables as1and0so as to carry out statistical analysis and pulse manifestation category, pulse manifestations of Left Cun, Left Guan, Left Chi, Right Cun, Right Guan, Right Chi, Chinese medicine prescription etc. were analyzed by frequency analysis and association analysis between the pulse manifestation and Chinese medicine. Results:The information database including the pulse manifestations, Chinese medicine and prescriptions of the medical records related to emotions in Ming and Qing Dynasties and the period of republic of China was established and frequency analysis indicated the common pulse manifestations were taut, fast, thready, smooth, deep, large pulses, etc. The more frequently used medicine were Pinellia, Poria, Liquoriee, Whitepeony, Tuekahoe, tangerine peel, Angeliea, etc. The more frequently used prescriptions were decoction for invigorating the spleen, Buzhongyiqi Tang, Erchen Tang, etc. According to the association analysis between pulse and medicine, Left Cun taut was related to tangerine peel, Atractylodes, Pinellia, Poria, Whitepeony, bamboo shavings, citrus aurtantium, Cyperus rotundus L. etc., often associated with fast, smooth, thready. Taut-deep was related to Atractylodes, Angeliea, Liquoriee, tangerine peel, Pinellia, dendrobium etc., often associated with smooth. Conclusion:Through the mathematical analysis of the information database including the pulse manifestations, Chinese medicine and prescriptions of the medical records related to emotions in Ming and Qing Dynasties and the period of republic of China, the law of Chinese medicine and prescriptions corresponding to the pulse manifestations was summed up and the medication rule was analyzed so as to provide a theoretical guide for clinical medication about emotional diseases.
