Object:Access to the Changsha City in a college Retired Faculty diet, nutritional intake, nutrition knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) and nutrition knowledge survey.to explore College Retired Faculty dietary nutritional problems,to establish a correct concept of health to guide a reasonable diet and correct bad behavior, improve the health status of the population of the entire College Retired Faculty, both to promote their physical health, but also to the surrounding crowd dissemination of nutritional knowledge and concept of health.Methods:Fu rong Xiao qu, Ke jiao xin cun, Dong hu,Bin hu, Quan tang,Yi yuan and communities randomly selected local college Retired Faculty, they voluntarily participate in this survey and physical examination in the university hospital of the University Retirement faculty.Questionnaire to200of195valid questionnaires.Nutrition Examination Survey uses three24-hour dietary recalls the type of food quantity and nutrient intake. The actual intake of the survey was converted into a60-year-old light manual intake, nutrient intake reference values for the survey DRIs.Result:Dietary survey results show that accounted for23.34%of the universities retired faculty dietary structure cereal, vegetables accounted for35.14%,7.79%of the fruits, beans and soy products accounted for2.65%, a lower proportion of intake; meat and poultry accounted for11.78%accounted for3.02%, grease,salt accounted for11.32%, a higher proportion of intake.Conclusions:Energy of protein, fat intake accounted for14.88%,31.73%, carbohydrates (cereals, noodles, etc.) in the production capacity of nutrients intake is low, accounting for54.33%of the total energy. Dietary fiber intake is too low, only46.30%of the intake. Inadequate intake of calcium, magnesium, Bl, B2, and retinol equivalent, accounted for65.50%of the recommended intake,81.71%,62.14%,76.15%, and72.26%respectively. Than unreasonable three meals a day for breakfast for energy is relatively low, dinner.Dietary fiber intake is too low, only46.30%of the intake. Inadequate intake of calcium, magnesium, B1, B2, and retinol equivalent, accounted for65.50%of the recommended intake,81.71%,62.14%,76.15%, and72.26%respectively. Than unreasonable three meals a day for breakfast for energy is relatively low, dinner. The nutrition attitude recognition rate of79.48%, only68subjects in thirst do not need to drink low recognition rate as low as34.87%.University Retired Faculty differences in eating behavior under different background conditions statistically universities significance (P<0.05), including68retired teachers and salty taste,69subjects taking nutritional supplements, and51surveyed are interested in health care productsl31surveyed food choices first consideration for nutritional value.College the retired faculty most hope to obtain knowledge of nutrition health disease prevention and food safety, accounted for52.32%of the survey,37.35percent. The main way to get the nutrition knowledge newspaper, newspapers, magazines (58.97%), television broadcasting (47.69%), and sources of nutrition knowledge obtained from the multi-channel. Over60years old were randomly selected at the same time the retired teachers to design nutrition KAP questionnaire.Conclusion:1. A University in Changsha City, retired teachers and good nutrition, meal structure is basically reasonable, the nutrient intake existence of low carbohydrate intake, protein intake high, high fat intake, vitamin C, calcium, Bl, B2retinol and low intake of dietary fiber, sodium intake high, and does not attach importance to the breakfast, dinner for energy excessive.2. University Retired Faculty nutrition knowledge to grasp good dietary intake habits of Chinese dietary guidelines, the specific requirements of a balanced diet pagoda there is a big gap. Different backgrounds crowd, women are better than men, retired teacher retired workers,60to69-year-old retired teachers and better than the70to79-year-old,80to89-year-old retired faculty members.3The survey results also show that universities retired faculty have higher cultural qualities, to grasp the situation of micronutrient nutrition knowledge and eating habits and failings, can be inferred other communities of the city population and rural population.The situation may be even worse. Therefore, strengthening the population nutrition and health education is imperative.
