Objective:1.To discuss the vascular endothelial function of different geometicpatterns in rabbits with hyperthyroid cardiomyopathy by high frequency sonography.2.To discuss the correlation between vascular endothelial function and leftventricular diastolic function in rabbits with hyperthyroid cardiomyopathy.3.To discuss the correlation between vascular endothelial function and leftventricular mass index in rabbits with hyperthyroid cardiomyopathy. Methods:Thirty New Zealand purebred rabbits were divided into twogroups:experimental group(n=20) and control group(n=10). Hyperthyroidism animalmodel was established by peritoneal injection of Levothyroxine(L-Thy) in experimentalgroup.According to the ultrasound parameter changes, the ventricular geometries ofexperimental group were divided into two subgroups:concentric hypertrophy(CH)subgroup and eccentric hypertrophy(EH) subgroup.Endothelial dependent dilation(EDD)and non-endothelial dependent dilation(NEDD) were measured by high frequencysonography. The average peak velocity(Ve) of two sites and E/Ve were calculated at themitral annulus were measured by quantitative tissue velocity imaging(QTVI).Leftventricular mass index(LVMI) was determined by echocardiography.Results:1.LVMI and RWT was significantly higher in CH subgroup than those ofthe control group(P<0.01),RWT≥0.42,and LVMI was significantly higher in EHsubgroup than that of the control group(P<0.01),RWT<0.42. LVMI was significantlyhigher in EH subgroup than that of the CH group(P<0.05),RWT<0.42.2.D0was significantly higher in CH subgroup and EH subgroup than that of thecontrol group(P<0.01),while D0was no significantly difference between EH subgroupand CH group(P>0.05).EDD was significantly lower in CH subgroup and EH subgroup than that of the control group, the EDD was lower in the EH subgroup than that of theCH subgroup(P<0.01).NEDD was significantly lower in EH subgroup than that of theCH subgroup and control group(P<0.01).3.Ve was significantly lower in CH subgroup and EH subgroups than that of thecontrol group(P<0.01),Ve was lower in the EH subgroup than that of the CHsubgroup(P<0.01).E/Ve was significantly higher in CH subgroup and EH subgroup thanthat of the control group(P<0.01),E/Ve was higher in the EH subgroup than that of theCH subgroup(P<0.01). Correlation analysis showed that the Ve was positivelycorrelated with EDD and NEDD between experimental group and controlgroup(r=0.548ã€r=0.474,P<0.05),the E/Ve was negatively correlated with EDD andNEDD between experimental group and control group(r=ï¼0.786ã€r=ï¼0.582,P<0.05).4.LVMI was significantly higher in the experimental group than that of the controlgroup(P<0.01).Correlation analysis showed that the EDD was negatively correlatedwith LVMI between experimental group and control group(r=ï¼0.819,P<0.01).Nostatistically significant association was observed between NEDD and LVMI betweenexperimental group and control group (P>0.05).Conclusions:1.High frequency sonography can accurately assess the vascularendothelial function of different geometic patterns in rabbits with hyperthyroidcardiomyopathy.2.Vascular endothelial function and left ventricular diastolic functional are closelyrelated in rabbits with hyperthyroid cardiomyopathy.3.Vascular endothelial function and left ventricular mass index are closely relatedin rabbits with hyperthyroid cardiomyopathy. |
