Objective: Automated quantification of three-dimensional echocardiography was applied to measure left ventricular mass index in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy,to analyze the variability of parameters in various subgroups of HCM patients, and to investigate the correlation between left ventricular mass index and the score for identifying diastolic dysfunction. Methods: According to the diagnostic criteria of HCM,80 patients diagnosed with HCM in the outpatient department of our hospital from June 2021 to September 2022and healthy subjects as the control group with matched gender and age during the same period were included. And according to the 2020 AHA guidelines, patients were divided into obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and non obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy groups based on the presence of left ventricular outflow tract obstruction;and into four subgroups of types I-IV according to the site of hypertrophy.Echocardiography was performed on all study subjects using a GE Vivid E9 ultrasound instrument. The Echo PAC workstation was applied for the automated quantification of three-dimensional echocardiography, and the measured parameters included: conventional echocardiographic parameters, left ventricular mass index, and left ventricular remodel index.Left ventricular diastolic function was evaluated using the diastolic function score from the Saito.Patients with HCM were analyzed the correlation with LVMI,LVRI and diastolic function scores.Results:1.Compared with the control group,LVM,LVMI,LVRI,and LAVI were increased in the HCM group(P < 0.05).2.Compared with the HNCM group,LVM was larger and diastolic function was more significantly reduced in the HOCM group(P < 0.05);Compared with the type I,II,and IV HCM groups,LVM and LVMI were larger and scored higher and diastolic function was more significantly reduced in the type III HCM group(P < 0.05).3.LVMI was correlated with diastolic function score significantly and positively, with a correlation coefficient of 0.29(P < 0.05);there were also correlations with other parameters of diastolic function: LVMI was significantly and positively correlated with LAVI and diastolic function classification, with correlation coefficients of 0.32 and 0.26(P < 0.05),respectively,and was significantly and negatively correlated with Lat-e’,with a correlation coefficient of-0.24(P < 0.05).Conclusions:1.Compared with HNCM,LVM,diastolic function score were higher in the HOCM group;among different subtypes, the type III HCM group had the greatest LVM,LVMI,most pronounced diastolic function reduction.2.LVMI was positively correlated with LV diastolic function score, and the higher the LVMI,the more obvious the diastolic function reduction.
