Effect And Mechanism Of Modified ShenLingB AiZhu Powder In Treatment Of Spleen Deficienc Y And Dampness Type IBS

Purpose:To observe the influence of modified ShenLing BaiZhu decoction To diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome patients’(insufficiency of the spleen with overabundance of dampness) IL-6level and the symptoms, to discuss its therapeutic mechanism, so as to provide clinical and syndrome may be theoretical basis for the Chinese medicine treatment of diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome.Methods:50cases of diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome, syndrome of spleen deficiency and dampness type were randomly divided into experimental group (25) and the control group (25).The experimental group used modified Senate Baizhu powder Decoction and oral Medilac-S, control group was given Medilac-Soral; the two groups were4weeks of treatment, the main symptoms score before and after treatment were observed (abdominal pain, stool frequency and character), secondary symptoms (abdominal distension, bowel urgency, insomnia, fatigue and so on) and white interleukin6(IL-6) indexes.Results:Prior treatment, the gender, age, course of disease of the two groups patients had no differeces.In the aspect of TCM symptoms curative effect:The total effective rate of treated roup patients was88.00%; while the controlled group was44.00%.The treated group had an advantage than the controlled group(P<0.05).Laboratory indicators:Before and after treatment, plasma IL-6have more significant difference (P<0.05)in treated roup patients.Laboratory tests of the controlled group were not statistically significant (P>0.05). Both groups were no adverse reactions.Conclusion:Modified ShenLing BaiZhu powder for spleen deficiency and dampness type IBS patients have better curative effect; the mechanism may be related to the decrease of IL-6,inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reducing inflammation.
