| Objective: To approach the relationship between colorectal cancerprimary tumor/regional lymph nodes/distant metastasis(TNM) staging anddetection of serumal digestive tumor marker carcinoembryonicantigen(CEA) and carbohydrate antigen19-9(CA19-9), and to investigateits clinical significance. Methods: First, the detection of CEA and CA19-9before the surgicalresection and detection of TNM staging after the surgical resection in231cases of patient with colorectal cancer that had been treated in the FirstAffiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University between February2011and February2013were gathered. Then, the relationship betweendetection of CEA and CA19-9and TNM staging and clinical feature ofpatients were analyzed. Results: The positive rate of CEA and CA19-9in patients withcolorectal were51.5%(119/231) and46.3%(107/231). The positive rate ofCEA and the positive rate of CA19-9were positively correlated with thedepth of cancer invasion, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and TNM stage(P<0.05). The positive rate of CEA and CA19-9were both nodifference between different grade of tumor differentiation, patients’ age, patients’ gender and patients’ Smoking (P>0.05).Conclusion: The positive rate of CEA and CA19-9were bothpositively correlated with tumor TNM stage, so the detection of CEA andCA19-9could be used as one of important serumal marker for tumor TNMstage. Also, detection of CEA and CA19-9could be used as one ofimportant serumal marker for prognosis judgment and therapeutic scheduleinstitution. |
