The Construction Research Of Medical Atlas Database Oriented Knowledge Service

In the background of knowledge-based economy, many demanderswho are hungry to information are faced with a problem which how toreceive information efficiently and effictively. Digital informationconstruction has became a hot issue due to individuals’ demands forinformation. Medical atlas are not only a learning tool for students butalso staffs’ instructional material and provide indispensible reference forclinical practice, however, there is less research about digital constructionof medical atlas.In this paper, it analysed feature, use radio of medical atlas in entitycollection and function and limitation in database and discuss how tobuild up a database oriented knowledge service that offer digital medicalatlas to users effictively by some methods such as literature investigation,web survey and comparative analysis and exploration on status of atlas ina medical university and databases’ function at home and abroad.The research content mainly included three sections. In the first part,it investigated and analyzed the status of medical atlas’s collection in amedical university,besides the main indexes included purchase expenses,copies, sorts, press, publishing time, collection utilization, circulation-collection and circulation volumes-collect species. It is found that theatlas books cover20medical categories, the collection of R3(Preclinical Medicine) accounted for a quarter of the total amount, in recent10yearsthe total books published accounted for half the amount, which is from5%of press; Utilization ratio of R3(Preclinical Medicine),R71(Gynecotokology), R5(Internal Medicine) and R77(Ophthalmology)was more than75%and40%in sorts and copies, Utilization ratio ofR73(Oncology), S(Agricultural Science), R-(General theory, Presentsituation and the development, Medical research method)and R79(Foreign national medical)was less than30%and25%in sorts and copies,R-,R9, S, R79, R73, R1and R72deviated1from circulation-collection.In the second part, it investigated and analyzed the collection andconstruction of medical atlas digital resources in46medical colleges anduniversities and the construction. The study found that, domestic46medical colleges and universities used mainly11medical atlas databasein total, the Image in MD Consult and medical atlas resources in CNKIhave being used by18colleges, in addition, the figures and tables inProQuest less than that, some colleges and universities themselves alsobuilt the atlas; According to the different orientation, medical atlasdatabase at home and abroad has different characteristics. In the third part,given to the utilization of resource and the demands of users in part oneand part two and the function of the atlas database, we put forward theconstruction frame of medical atlas database oriented knowledge service,and constructed the database example.
