ObjectiveEvaluate the training effect in Operating Room Specialist Nurse training program of Zhejiang Province by characters and core competence of the participants through investigation.MethodsUsing the self-made general questionnaire, Competency Inventory for Registered Nurse modified by Liu Ming and the teacher in charge for95operating room specialist nurses in Zhejiang Province, to evaluate the effect of the operating room specialist nurse training program of Zhejiang Province, by analysing the correlation with demographic characteristics and core competence of the participants through investigation, and the impact on training program.Results1. The average age of95operating room specialist nurse program in Zhejiang Province is34.01±4.21years old.97.89%are female. Among them, priority has bachelor degree, accounting for75.79%;76.84%did not participated in the English level test. The average length of service is13.71±4.50years. Most Students come from Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Ningbo, Jinhua and Taizhou, accounting for71.59%. They work in tertiary hospitals mostly, accounting for77%.2. The dimensions of core competence of registered nurse scale are related to age, professional title and nursing age. Age has related to5dimensions, in which the critical thinking and scientific research is the significant(P<0.01); the title has related to5dimensions, in which clinical nursing, legal and ethical practice significantly correlated (P<0.01), and critical thinking and research, leadership and professional development dimensions (P<0.05). Nursing age has related to3dimensions, in which critical thinking and research dimension is the significant (P<0.01).3. All the dimension scores of Competency Inventory for Registered Nurse after training have increased. Among them,6dimensions existed significant difference (p<0.05), during which critical thinking and research dimension changed most significantly (p<0.01).4. After the training, there are differences between different age in improving critical thinking research, leading, professional development, legal and ethical practice ability dimension; there are differences between different titles of participants in improving critical thinking research, clinical nursing, leading and legal and ethical practice ability dimension; there are differences between different nursing age in critical thinking and scientific research and clinical nursing ability dimension.Conclusion1. The age, professional title and nursing age have correlation with training effect of Operating Room Specialist Nurse training program of Zhejiang Province.2. After training, their ability have improved, such as:critical thinking research, education and consult, interpersonal relationship, leadership, professional development and clinical nursing.
