Objective: To compare the clinical effects of SXX mode and ST mode of NIPPV(Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation) in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) patients with hypercapnic-hypoxic respiratory failure. Methods: Withconventional drug therapy, Selected fifteen COPD patients with hypercapnic-hypoxicrespiratory failure from December2012to January2013in Second RespiratoryDepartment and RICU of the First-attach Hospital of XJ medical University. The numberof male is9, female6, the age (67.53±5.43). All the patients were respectively gave SXXmode2hours and ST mode2hours. Arterial blood gas analysis, including pH value, PaO2,PaCO2, respiratory mechanical changes, including the tidal volume (VT),ventilationvolume per minute (MV), and inspiratory/respiratory cycle time (Ti/Total), respiratorysynchronization rate and percutaneous arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2%) were observedand compared between the two different modes. Results: As compared with ST mode,SXX mode couldsignificantly reduce respiratory rate and PaCO2(P>0.05), and significantly increase PaO2,SpO2%and VT (P<0.05), and improve respiratory synchronization rate (P<0.05). But themode could not significantly improve MV (P>0.05). Conclusions: As compared with STmode, SXX mode moreover with reducing respiratory rate, relieving rapid breathing andreducing PaCO2, and the SXX mode also moreover with increasing PaO2and SpO2%,curing hypoxia and improving VT and synchronization rate in patients who suffer chronicobstructive pulmonary disease. |
