Abstract Objective:To measured serum TK-1concentration differences ofnasopharyngeal group, nasopharyngeal inflammation group and normal group andobserve preliminarily its concenteation change of the NPC group therapy process, itsroles in nasopharyngeal cancer diagnosis, clinical stage, the short-term effect andchenoradiotherapy sensitivity. Methods: Enzyme enhanced chemiluminescence was used to detect TK-1concentrationof77cases of pre-treatment of NPC patients(64cases being treated,56cases after theend of treatment),20cases of nasopharyngeal inflammation group and20cases ofnormal human considered as the control group. All patients had received radicalradiotherapy in the first process, followed up for six months. The methods that wereused to analyze the data were t test,chi-squre test, single factor analysis of variance(ANOVA) and spearman rank correlation test. Results: TK-1concentration of NPC group (3.601.78pmol/L) higher than that of theinflammatory group (1.340.57pmol/L) and normal group(0.490.37pmol/L)(P<0.01);T stage,N stage, clinical stage, the recent efficacy and TK-1levels aresignificantly related(P<0.05); but N staging, clinical stage, the recent efficacy and thepositive rate of TK-1are related(P<0.05).TK-1levels of high sensitivechemoradiotherapy group(2.781.36pmol/L) is lower than the low-sensitivegroup(4.701.70pmol/L)(P<0.01);TK-1levels of pre-treatment cases and being treatedcases and after the end of treatment cases in NPC group are3.601.78 pmol/L,2.320.99pmol/L,0.890.81pmol/L,respectively,that exists statisticallysignificant difference (P<0.01).Conclusion: Serum TK-1is of great significance for the diagnosis and treatment ofpatients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and it is a serum marker which helps earlydiagnosis and clinical staging and monitor disease development of NPC.
