Effect Of Titanium Cable And Kirschnertension Bandwires In Treatment Of Fractures Of Patella

Objectives:To explore the Curative effeets of open reduetion and internal fixationwith Titanium cable or Kirsehner’s Nails tension band wire for Patellar transversefraetures Patellar.Methods:Totally66cases，who were in Traumatie orthoPedie of the first hospitalof Guangzhou University of TCM from2008一7to2011一5.The group A35easeswere enrolled in the Titanium cable;The group B31eases were enrolled the Kirsehner’stension band wire. All the patients use the antibioties， trained by CPM, and treatmentby TCM. The trained time， The walk time, the knee bend for90°time， the kneex一ray，and the eomPlieation between the2groups were eompared.ResuIt: Obvious superiority was observed in the Titanium cable group over theKirsehner’ s Nails tension band wire groupe concerning The trained time，the walktime，the knee bend for90°time，the kneex一ray，and the CompliCation between them.Cone1us1on: Totally22eases and another31eases were enrolled in the Titaniumcable (2.5months for average follow up time) and the Kirsehner’s Nai1s tension bandwire group respectively (2.5months for average follow up time). The way that treatingpatellar fraetures with Titanium cable is charaeterized by simple manipulation，rigidfixation，and exeellent funetion of the knee， and this internal fixation whichaequirs satisfaetory results is in accordance with biomeehanies and deserve the c1iniealexpansion.
