Peru locates in the collision zone B of the subduction zone from Nazca Plate to the South American plate, where the intense tectonic movement and volcanic activity provided good conditions for mineralization.,and the Acari region sits directly in here. The region includes Pongo iron ore and the Acari ore, two main deposits are mainly iron ore, containing copper, gold and polymetallic mineral. Through comprehensive regional geological data, field geological investigation and the analysis of drilling, the paper can be concluded as follows:l)Mineralization in the area has a close relationship with fracture which plays an important role in leading and containing the ore and also transforms the morphology of the ore in the later.2)Through field observations and microscopic identification, we have determined the name of the magmatic rocks in the study area and the geological environment of the ore.3)Acari region sits in a near-sea IOCG metallogenic belt in peru.Pongo iron ore is the subvolcanic hydrothermal Magnet polymetallic deposits,and similar, with porphyry-type iron ore, but accompanied by a large number of serpentine. The Acari western band iron ore is the vein hydrothermal filling-metasomatic magnet polymetallic deposit and the magnetite iron ore is associated by serpentine. The Acari eastern band polymetallic ore is hydrothermal vein-type polymetallic ore deposit.4)The ore body of Pongo iron ore is deep buried, wide distribution and high grade, containing copper,gold and other useful components. As iron ore, it has a relatively high content of harmful components of sulfur. Ore production is about1.4billion tons. The iron ore in western Acari is high-grade vein magnetite and the reserves is estimated to1.295million tons. The ore grade in western polymetallic ore belt is not high, but it has a wide alteration and distribution range.5) By using a variety of geochemical methods, ores of these deposits in this region were analyzed,we have found some correlation in several main elements of Pongo iron ores; Surface primary halo analysis were used in Acari eastern band polymetallic ore region, the results reveal the main mineralized area controlled by the structures.6) We analyzed the exploration geophysics features in this region,we found that the shape of magnetic survey value abnormal are very typical.The magnetite ore body in this area has the characteristics of high values of negative anomalies,and there are two positive anomaly zones in the north and south ends of the anomaly.It provides the basis for integrated prospecting exploration7)We have statistical analyzed the deposit types, ore-controlling factors, mineral assemblage contrast, mineralization zonation of the Acari region.The prospecting criteria and prospecting forecast area. in this area were put forward through analysis.
