The Corivale polymetallic deposit, part of porphyry-skarn belt in central south of Peru, whose geological environment affected by the subduction of the Nazca plate to the South American plate. This paper mainly studied the regional geological background, geological characteristics, geophysical and geochemical of Corivale deposit, and it has been confirm the stratigraphy, tectonics, igneous rocks and mineralization characteristics through the field works. It also summarizes metallogenetic law, prospecting criteria and metallogenic prediction based on comprehensive analysis on area’s data and comparison with the adjacent deposits. The research results are obtained as following:1. The fault strikes in study area are mainly NW, EW and NS. Those faults provide favorable channel for the invasion of hydrothermal and volcanic activity. Meanwhile, the extensional tectonic well developed with-in the area, and distribution of mylonite skarn mineralization belt, which is characterized by detachment faults controlling ore.2. There are three phase of magmatic emplacement through field observation. Granite porphyry is the third phase of emplacement, which is most closely related to mineralization in this region.3. The magmatic rocks were identified to determine its name. The mineralization in this region is mainly close to biotite granite and granite porphyry.4. This paper summed up that there are four main deposits type in study area through field geological works.5. Based on comprehensive analysis the geophysical IP anomaly, it summarizes the geophysical characteristics. The characteristics of anomaly showed low electrical resistivity and high polarization resistance, and the anomaly is along the NW direction.6. By processing and analysis the primary halos of geochemical data to determine the element background values, threshold and make the geochemical exploration contour maps. It summarizes the large abnormal scale, significantly concentration centers and higher matching degree of the elements.7. By comparing the geological characteristics of nearby Antilla, Cotabambas and Antapccay deposit, it was found that this area have certain exploration prospects.8. Based on comprehensive analysis to summarize the metallogenetic law and prospecting criteria. It also identified the preliminary prospecting targets and delineated three favorable targets in Corivale deposit.
