As the development of information industry, there is a growing demand of the speed and bandwidth in the industry such as communication, electronic and multimedia. It’s becoming a urge topic about how to implement reliable, stable transmission and processing of high speed broadband data. Under this background, this paper design a project to implement the transmission and processing of high speed broadband data based in PCI Express bus, which implements the real-time, high speed data transmission between computer and hardware board.This paper mainly described the implement of the transmission and processing of high speed, broadband data for the implement of both logic and software design, which based on the protocol, architecture and transmission mode of PCI Express. For the logic design, this paper given the implement of PCI Express bus by using the Altera Hard IP based on the Altera Cyclone IV GX design board. The design of application of PCI Express is the emphasis of this paper. This paper has given the application design of FFT based on the Altera Hard IP design, which implement transmission and processing of the high speed broadband data, then test the reliability of PCI Express link step by step. For the software design, this paper takes WinDriver to develop the PCI Express device driver. This paper mainly describes the advantages and design flow of using WinDriver as well as the key APIs. The development environment of PC application design is MS Visual C++6.0. The experimental process of data transmission and processing analysis result are listed in the conclusion part of this paper.This paper presents a logic and software design implement of transmission and processing of high speed broadband data. It is verified on the software platform by module level and system level. The results show that the design could meet the requirements of the high speed data well.
