Humanity uses the writings and the conservation of objects to record and preserve the history of thoughts and civilizations. The latter is embodied in museums. In the twentieth century, the theory of narratives was developed based on the research of writings.Today, museums have developed new features such as the diversification of internal categories and diversified development directions; management and disciplinary knowledge also emerged more subdivisions.From the birth of modern art museum, it has been the subject of the narrative interpretation of art history. Museums use the space frame to organize the exhibition; it implies a kind of orderly historical interpretation by controlling the process of visiting. Then, different types of subject should present correspondingly the difference of the languageā€™s texture in their narrative. In other words, there are narratives in museums. Based on it, we can reference the narrative theory in the study of museums;discuss the application and the boundary of narrative theory in museums, and father more, propose a few thoughts on the development possibilities of future museums.
