Stereoscopic display of virtual scene obtains stereo pairs by two or more virtual viewpoint andcompletes stereoscopic display. Stereo pairs involve complex space transform, graphics renderingand view parameters, improper handling of the link will lead to the failure of acquisition.Stereoscopic display conditions are also important, such as the size of the monitor and the viewingdistance. So the acquisition of stereo pairs and the last display are a whole and comprehensiveconsideration of these factors is necessary in order to achieve the desired three-dimensional effect.In this paper, the techniques and theories related to stereo pairs are firstly studied, and the disparitycalculation formula, disparity map, depth map of stereo pairs in virtual scene is given, factorsaffecting the disparity: the viewpoints distance and the vergence of sight are to summarized andanalyzed. Then the stereoscopic display comfort zone and he disparity limits of stereo pairs aredetermined based on the depth analysis of the vergence-adjustment inconsistent and the retinalimage fusion. Finally, a time-sharing binocular stereoscopic display system is designed in order toverify the correctness of the conclusion of this paper, and the experiments confirms the theoryproposed in this paper can be used as a basic standard in the stereoscopic display of the virtualscene to get a better three-dimensional effect.
