These years,3D products have become popular consumer goods.The acquisition of stereo images is the first step in the whole production,therefore,how to obtain appropriate stereo images is an important topic in the stereoscopic display field.We studied on acquisition of stereo images and proposed a disparity adjustment algorithm for stereo images.On acquisition of stereo images,we proposed a method for depth map recovery of monocular images using Markov random field(MRF)models,then use the depth map to acquire stereo image.In details,we first calculate the features of different components in train images.With the features and the depth maps collected by a 3d laser scanner,we can estimate the parameters of our MRFs.With the help of the estimated MRFs,we estimate depth map for a test image.Then we use the information contained in the test image to expand resolution of the depth map.As there are noises in the depth map,we use histogram statistics of depth map to reduce them.And finally we finish the acquisition of a stereo image.On disparity adjustment,a 3D image calibration method is proposed to provide a better performance on particular display device.Firstly,the knowledge of stereo image fusion area is adopted to calculate the comfortable horizontal disparity range for different display device.Secondly,the Scale-Invariant Features(SIFT)algorithm is applied to estimate the disparity range in a 3D image,and then a linear mapping between the original disparity and the comfortable disparity for the 3D image are obtained.Finally,the transformational matrix for the linear mapping and disparity correction for the 3D image are got.The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm has a good performance,which is adaptive for various disparity problems.
