With the development of wireless Ad Hoc network technology nowadays, the network has been applied to many fields, users are requesting higher service performance, especially on routing protocols, are getting more and more strict and diverse as well, but random and frequent movements of nodes in the network bring large difficulties to solve these problems. Currently, with the development of some assistive technologies, primary researches of routing protocols are based on combining these technical equipments, however new problems of cannot suit some particular scenes have arisen because of over reliance on these equipments. In recent years, there are many new researches of Ad Hoc network routing protocols, especially researches based on mobility prediction. Most of these researches are assisted by current GPS positioning system or other positioning systems to locate user nodes and thereby predict motion states of nodes in the future and choose route which is more stable and can exist longer. One characteristic of these technologies is depending on positioning systems and cannot apply to all scenes. Simulation analysis and summary of characteristics of traditional routing protocols are carried out in this paper, and on the basis of comparing and analyzing existing typical prediction techniques, this paper designs a routing protocol which is based on link stability prediction and is not assisted by positioning equipments. This protocol make use of nodes’ abilities to get movement information between nodes, decide average maintain time of the link between nodes, and thereby decide stability of the link to let destination node choose a more stable link as the communication path. The design no longer depends on other satellite positioning equipments, has no need of considering break of service equipments, make use of distance of nodes between two time points to decide nodes’ relative motion statuses, predict motion path in certain time points, and decide lifetime of the link.During route maintenance, this design uses single hop route backup mechanism to repair route in local ranges and reduce source node’s frequency of rediscovering routes.Experiments have shown that theory of this design is true, and this design has better link maintain time and lower network overhead compared with traditional routing protocol AODV and other similar prediction protocols, performance keep steady when number of nodes increases, and reasonableness of this design is verified.
