Study Of Urban Enterprise Danwei Community’s Change

Danwei, once as the most important part of China’s urban society during the planned economy period had made a great contribution to both China’s economy and society development. However, with the deepening of reform of the Economic System danwei system had been replaced by market economy and had changed a lot. In the matter of urban space, danwei had left various problems, such as danwei community’s change, problems and challenge. Focus on the changing process and problems of danwei community will help to understand the whole change situation of China’s urban society as well as the importance of the change of this community type.I choose Hubei H danwei’s community for case study and use path dependence theory, community theory, social identity theory and related danwei research both at home and abroad to study danwei community’s change problems. First, this research introduces and combs the history and situation of H danwei and H community to analyze the changing situation and characteristics of H community. Then the article focuses on analyzing three aspects of changing situation and problems:community’s characteristic change, community’s social communication change and community’s social identity’s change. Finally, this article tries to point out that danwei community’s change is not at the same path or rhythm with danwei system’s change. Danwei system’s change has brought such problems like system problems, living problems and mental problems to danwei community and danwei people.Danwei community is a special community type and must be special treated, which means that we must understand the specificity and importance of danwei community, then to find out a suitable changing pattern to help China’s urbanization. This article tries to raise concern about danwei community’s change from analyzing H danwei community, to rethink the lagging development,"dark area" crisis and changing dilemma of danwei people and to emphasize the importance of danwei community’s change to China’s urbanization.
