Peace and development are the two major themes in today’s world, in order to accelerate the economic development of our country and the step to prosperity. First, we have to overcome the idea of "land is superior to sea", develop from knowing ocean to the condition of cultivating national ocean consciousness. Advanced marine culture is an important component of national culture, the level of marine cultural consciousness is close to the national sea Homeland Security. History has proved that the more attention to ocean a state pay, the more strong of the comprehensive national power. In the past thirty years of reform and opening, with the development of China’s marine industry, our government gradually realize that the importance of raising awareness of ocean and have carried out a series of groping or educational activities to improve national consciousness of ocean. But we also should know that although the marine consciousness education lasted many years in our country, but level of the overall marine consciousness rises slowly. According to the survey, the level of Marine Awareness of high school students does not correspond with the development of marine economy in Fujian province, far from the new requirements of marine century". The idea that mankind and ocean should develop coordinately with the entire marine consciousness education, to high school student, it plays an important role in learning the concept of national land and resources. Students know more about the relation of human and ocean by marine consciousness education, let students cultivate correct conception of marine resource and environment and establish the idea of marine sustainable development.This paper bases on the process of geography teaching in high school, through theoretical study and practical investigation, it mainly uses some research methods, such as literature research, case study, experience summary and comparative research, in view of the high school geography teaching, discuss the way of how to flourish study on the marine consciousness education. The main content is divided into four parts. The first part mainly introduce the domestic and international development status of environmental and marine awareness education; the second part mainly from four aspects which include the ocean and climate, marine land, marine exploitation, marine sustainable development to abstract and expand the data of marine awareness education in the teaching material of high school geography. The third part, mainly analyzes the situation of marine awareness education on the basis of the actual survey data in high school geography teaching process of Fujian province; The fourth part mainly discuss and put forward the corresponding countermeasures to the causes of the problems of marine awareness education in high school geography teaching, From the following four aspects:②the examination-oriented education system;②the subjective initiative of teachers and students;③the condition of national marine basic knowledge;④the marine consciousness propaganda.
