Objective:To explore the clinical effects of hot compress of Chinese traditional medicine on remnant low back pain with obstruction of collaterals by blood stasis after percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP).Methods:60cases who were treated in the orthopaedic clinic of The hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from4/2012to12/2012were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group(n=30each group).The treated group was given by tablets of Yuzubi and hot compress of Chinese traditional medicine, the control was given tablets of Yuzubi and plaster of Tianqi zhentong.Their effect of Symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine, total score of Symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine, integration of VAS and JOA were observed and analyzed comparatively.Results:(1)The total effect rate of the treatment group was96.67%, there was a significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05).(2) total score of Symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and integration of VAS were descended, the integration of JOA of both two groups, there were significant difference compared with before treatment(P<0.05, P<0.01);there were statistical difference between the two groups on total score of Symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine and integration of VAS(P<0.05), and there was no statistical difference between the two groups on the integration of JOA(P>0.05)Conclusion:The hot compress of Chinese traditional medicine can quickly relieve pain symptom and improve low back function.
