| Jatropha curcas L. is a a soft-wooded shrub, a bush or the herb, belonging to the family of the euphorbiaceae tree, which is native to the tropical and subtropical area in America, African and a few Asian area where the fragmentary grow. In our country, the Jatropha curcas L. is mainly distributed in many provinces, such as Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Taiwan, Fujian, and so on. The Jatropha curcas L.can be used in many fields and the chemical components are complicated, mainly including terpenes, flavonoes, coumarins, fats, sterols and so on. The chemical components always have biological activities, such as antibacterial, antiviral, antitumor.The effective ingredients from leaves of Jatropha curcas L. in Hainan were extracted by 95% ethyl alcohol, then, the extract was concentracted and partitioned with petroleum ether, ethylacetate and n-butanol successively. From the leaves of Jatropha curcas L., fifteen compounds were isolated and purified by column chromtography on silical gel, sephadex LH-20 and nine compounds wre identified by spectral analysis (UV, IR, MS,1H-NMR, 13C-NMR) and identified as squalene, linoleic acid, phytol, pentadecyl ether,β-sitosterol, 4,11-dimethyl-tetradecane, stearic acid, Ethyl linoleate, benzoic acid, vitexin. Among them, compound of the linoleic acid,4,11-dimethyl-tetradecane, phytol, ethyl linoleate were isolated from Jatropha curcas L. for the first time.Low polar part of the petroleum ether extraction of Jatropha curcas L. were separated by column chromatography, then isolated and identified by capillary gas chromatography-mass spectrometer, the main components included fatty acid esters, hydrocarbons and a small number of plant alcohol and flavonoids.The plant growth activity tests were carried on the mung bean and the water spinach with the leaf extracts from Jatropha curcas L. of different solvets and different concentration. Results indicated that the leaf extracts with water, ethyl alcohol, acetone can promote the growth function, the effect of the alcohol extract was the best with concentration of 30-40μg.mL-1. The extract of lower concentration of can promote plant to sprout and take root, and the extract of higher concentration may suppress plant to sprout and take root to varying degrees. |
