Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of the insulin and saline input withmicroinfusion pump in diabetic patients who were treated with total parentalnutrition at seven days after abdominal operation.Methods:60case of diabetic patients after abdominal operation were divided into2groups randomly:one group received continuous insulin and saline vein input withmicroinfusion pump(the test group)and the other group received a certain amount ofinsulin with parenteral nutritional liquid(the contrast group). All patients were treatedwith total parenteral nutrition(TPN) for1week or more. Plasma glucose, the dosageof insulin, hypoglycemia incidence and low serum potassium incidence in sevendays after the operation were monitored. Results:We compare the average plasma glucose with different administration routes atthe same time, the results show that the plasma glucose of the test group was betterthan that of the contrast group at the first day to the fifth day when diabetic patientswere treated with total parental nutrition at seven days after abdominal operation, there was significant difference from the the first day to the fifth day;and there wasnot significant difference from the sixth day to the seventh day.The average dosage of insulin, hypoglycemia incidence rate and low serum potassium incidence rate ofthe test group were lower than those of the contrast group when diabetic patientswere treated with total parental nutrition at seven days after abdominal operation. Conclusion:For diabetic patients, when they were treated with total parental nutrition atseven days after abdominal operation, insulin and saline microinfusion pump isbetter than the other group received a certain amount of insulin with parenteralnutritional liquid(the contrast group)in controlling plasma glucose, declininghypoglycemia incidence and low serum potassium incidence, and it makes thedosage of insulin more accurate, the prospect of this method in clinical is very well....
