Objectives:To investigate knowledge and attitudes regarding pain management amongnurses of top three hospitals in Changchun and influence factors and levels of nursesfrom the top three hospitals in Changchun City, in order to find the deficiency ofnurses in pain management, and analysis of related factors.Method:Take a descriptive survey research methods, application in2008April revision of the "knowledge and Attitudes Survey Regarding Pain "(survey of pain managementknowledge and attitudes of KASRP, Chinese version) questionnaire, has carried onthe investigation to756nurses in7top three hospitals in Changchun.Results:The total average of756nursesknowledge and attitude of pain management was17.69±3.64; correct rate is22.50%~80.00%, without the pain management training,nursesquestionnaire’s total average score was16.92±3.09, questionnaire answer rate was22.5%~67.50%, after the pain management training, the average score was22.07±3.45, correct rate is32.50%~80%; comparison of different nursing age, education,professional title and self-study of nurses pain knowledge scores, no significantdifference (p>0.05); different departments, whether to accept continuing medicaleducation about the pain are two related factors influencing nurses pain managementknowledge and attitudes (p <0.01).Conclusions:1. Accuracy rate of pain management basic knowledge point is low.The nurses fromthe top three hospitals in Changchun are inadequate mastery of knowledge regardingpain management;2. Different departments, whether or not to accept continuing medical education aboutthe pain and continuing education are related factors influencing nurses’ pain management knowledge and attitudes.
