With the development of national economy, people pay more and more attentionto the health. Nonuniform of earth’s crust chemical element which results fromdevelopment of geology leads to considerable differences of chemical elementcontents and types in water, soil and plant. Microelement is important to organism, and either deficiency or excess can induce different types of disease. Mineral water isrich in various mineral constituents and microelements that is much significant tohuman health. Objective:Understand quality characteristic of mineral water and distribution ofsurroundings microelements in Jingyu County of Jilin Province, and provide a sciencebasis for exploring the mineral water resource and approaching the health effect ofmicroelements in mineral water.Methods:1. Mineral water and surrounding environment were chose as object in JingyuCounty of Jilin Province, and Dongliao County was control. The life style, economiclevel and general demographic information were same in two counties.2. Mineral water of Shenlong Spring, Wulong Spring, Yinlong Spring and LinhaiSpring in Jingyu County and Poly Longtan reservoir in Dongliao County were choseas source water sampling points of drinking water; Zhuzi River of Jingyu County andDongliao River of Dongliao County were chose as sampling points of surface water;two respective school of the two counties were chose as sampling points of drinkingwater at random.3. Surrounding materials as soil, soy bean, black bean, corn, cabbage, whiteradish, carrot, poultry and fish were collected from mineral water surrounding areaand the Dongliao River Basin.4.21microelements contained Li, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Rb, Sr,Mo, Ag, Sn, Sb, I, Ba, F and Si were tested, according to Boundary and limitedindicators of natural mineral water and essential trace elements.5. Microelements were detected by Inductively Coupled Plasma MassSpectrometry (ICP-MS). Meta-silicic acid of water was examined by siliconmolybdenum yellow spectrophotometry. Fluorid of water was detected with F ion selective electrode method.6. All data were inputted into Excel with double recording method and thenwere analyzed using SPSS13.0. Comparison of measurement data accord withGaussian distribution was analyzed with t test between the two groups. And otherswere analyzed with rank sum test. Inspection level was α=0.05.Results:1. The pH value of was6.81to7.32; the conductivity was191.49to244.25μs/cmand the temperature was7.32to9.46℃in mineral water of Jingyu County. Contentsof microelements were consistent with drinking natural mineral water health standard(GB8537-2008).2. The microelements contents as V, Cr, Rb and meta-silicic acid in mineral water,Mn, Mo, Cr, Cu and metasilicic acid in surface water, and Mo, V, Cr, Sn, Rb andmetasilicic acid in drinking water of Jingyu County were higher than DongliaoCounty (P<0.05).3. The microelements contents as Mn, Co, Ni, Sr, V, Cr in soil of Jingyu Countywere higher than Dongliao County (P<0.05).4. The microelements contents as Mo, Sr in soy been, Co, Rb in black been, I incorn, Mo, V, I in cabbage, Mo, Sn, I in white radish, and Ni, I in carrot of JingyuCounty were higher than Dongliao County (P<0.05).5. The microelements contents as Rb and I in poultry were higher of JingyuCounty were higher than Dongliao County (P<0.05).Conclusions:1. Mineral waters in Jingyu County were weakly alkaline and meta-silicic acid ofwater, and contents of meta-silicic acid were higher than25mg/L except Linhai Spring. The microelements contents were accord with drinking natural mineral water healthstandard (GB8537-2008).2. Drinking mineral water of Jingyu County was beneficial for health, because ofthe high contents of microelements Mo, Cr and meta-silicic acid.3. High contents of microelements as Mn, Co, Ni, Sr, V and Cr in soil of JingyuCounty maybe related with enrich mineral resources.4. High contents of microelements as Sr, Mo, Co, Ni, Rb, V, I and Sn in fieldcrops of Jingyu County maybe related with the high levels of microelements inminera water and soil.5. Rb, Co, Ni, Cr, Se and I contents in poultry and carp of Jingyu County were higher than the Dongliao County. Poultry and fish can be used as an important sourceof essential trace elements.
