ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to compare specific low back pain and non-specific lowback pain patients with pain intensity, quality of daily life, dysfunction and psycho-socialfactors, to understand the nature of low back pain, to strengthen publicity and education forlow back pain,to improve prevention, treatment and prevention of recurrence,to furtherimprove the national physique.MethodsA total of389patients involving199men and190women who suffered from lowback pain had been selected in spinal surgery clinic of PLA88hospital from March2011to August2011, the average age were41.01±15.27years with a range of13to82years,with specific low back pain group204examples, nonspecific low back pain group185examples,for patients with low back pain gradually observation, evaluation, follow-up ofprospective descriptive study.A basic situation questionnaire of low back pain had beencarried out to compare with two groups of the patient’s age, gender, body mass index, occupational factors and living style etc, using VAS, RMDQ, JOA, WHOQOL-BREF, SDSand FABQ etc questionnaire to compare with two groups of patients with pain intensity, daily life quality, dysfunction and social psychological factors. Using SPSS18.0software,via chi-square test, independent sample t-test, matching sample t-test and multiple linearrelated to statistical analysis.Results1. The average age of SLBP group was higher than the average age of NSLBP group, there was a significant difference between two groups(P<0.05). No significant differenceswere found between two groups in gender,smoking,drinking,BMI(P>0.05).2. No significant differences were found between two groups in pain intensity or VASaverage score before treatment(P>0.05). The VAS average score of SLBP group washigher than that of NSLBP group after treatment. In both groups, the VAS average score of posttreatment was lower than that of before treatment, there was a significant differencebetween two groups(P<0.05).3. The WHOQOL-BREF average score of SLBP group was lower than that of NSLBPgroup, the quality of life of SLBP was poorer than that of NSLBP group, especially inphysiology and environment field, there was a significant difference between twogroups(P<0.05).4. The RMDQ average score of SLBP group was higer than that of NSLBP group, therewas a significant difference between two groups(P<0.05). In both groups, the RMDQaverage score of posttreatment was lower than that of before treatment, there was asignificant difference between two groups(P<0.05).5.The SDS average score of SLBP group was lower than that of NSLBP group, therewas a significant difference between two groups(P<0.05). The FABQ average score ofSLBP group was lower than that of NSLBP group, there was a significant differencebetween two groups(P<0.05).6.Every scale score had been proved to be correlation in this study, the two-side P valueof correlation coefficient was less than0.05,therefore there was a significant differencebetween correlation coefficient. The WHOQOL-BREF score had the most correlation withother scales, besides the VAS score had the most correlation with the JOA score, the RMDQscore had the most correlation with the JOA score, the JOA score had the most correlationwith the RMDQ score, the SDS score had the most correlation with the FABQ score, theFABQ score had the most correlation with the SDS score.Conclusion1.Lumbar disc herniation is the most common disease of the LBP, lumbar muscle strain, lumbar muscle spasm and other soft tissue diseases also have a large proportion, theaverage age of SLBP group was higher than that of NSLBP group,the20-60age group hasthe largest proportion, and we have found the LBP have younger trend. No significantdifferences were found between the SLBP group and the NSLBP group in gender, smoking, drinking,BMI and occupation.2.No significant differences are found between two groups in pain intensity,in otherwords, the pain that patients beared in two groups are similar, and pain intensity hassignificant decrease after treatment.3.The quality of life of SLBP group is poorer than that of NSLBP group, especially inphysiology and environment field.4.The degree of dysfunction of patients in SLBP group is more serious than that of patients in NSLBP group, of which the degree of dysfunction in elderly patients over60years is relatively heavy, and no significant improvement after treatment.5. The degree of depression and fear-avoidance belief of patients in NSLBP group ismore serious than that of patients in SLBP group, it is show that the patients in NSLBPgroup are more vulnerable to the influence of psychosocial factors.
