Quality Of Life In Patient With Colostomy For Colorectal Cancer

【Objective】 With the EORTC quality life scale QLQ-CR38、QLQ-C30and thegeneral questionnaire study of126cases of about their quality of life the patients treatedwith colostomy measure, we can explore and analyze the factors affect the quality oflife of the patients with colostomy and propose appropriate care countermeasures. Thenwe are able to help patients with colostomy, reduce the psychological pressure, improvethe quality of life of the patients and promote the rehabilitation of patients to allow themto adapt to a new life.【Method】Taking a simple random sampling method, the research takes aepidemiological investigation of126patients with permanent colostomy includinghospitalized patients、review patients stoma、outpatients of Colorectal Anal Surgery inChina-Japan Union Hospital and patients participating in department stoma associationfrom October2011to August2012. Applying SPSS11.0statistical software forstatistical data processing, normally distributed data are expressed as mean±standarddeviation, the skewed distribution of data are expressed using median and qualitativedata are expressed taken frequency and percentage.【Research tools】(1) general questionnaire (2) EORTC Quality of Life amountQLQ-C30(V3.0)(3) EORTC Quality of Life QLQ-CR38(V1.0).【Results】The colostomy measure had an obvious impact on patients withcolorectal cancer, especially on the emotional function, sense ability, physical function,role play function, social function and sexual functions and sexual entertainment style.The impact factors of quality in colorectal cancer patients with stoma are physiologicalfactors、psychological factors、sexual life、economic conditions and social factors. 【Conclusion】1. Male quality of life is worse than that of the female on therole-play functions, while the male gets the score72.99±18.42and the female gets81.13±19.51.2. The patients over60years old have worse performances on bodyfunction and role play. with symptom tiredness and pain than the patients under45yearsold.3. The patients whose…time is larger than6months have better functions at roleplay, emotion, sexual life than the patients whose… time is less than6month.4While the patients at a basic educational level on the role play, emotion function, sexualfunction and sexual entertainment are no better than the other two groups. The patientsat low level of education had more serious problems on the economic difficulties andmanmade anus and other related problems.5. The workers and peasants have a betterquality of life than the other two groups both on the health status, sexual function andsexual entertainment.6. The patients whose income less than1500yuan have a highereconomic pressure than the other two groups of patients and also becomes more fatiguethan the other patients..7. The patients paid by themselves is better than the other twoboth on the role play function and on the physical function, whose tiredness-feeling isless than the others.8. The appetite losing symptom is more serious for the patientsunder big pressure than other patients.
