This thesis is based on1992-2010annual health care expenditure data to explore inequalities of urban and rural residents in health care burden and medical care expenditures. The results show that:urban and rural residents in health care spending accounted for the proportion of consumer spending increased year by year, the disparity between urban and rural spending growth rate lead to the burden of unbalanced pressure of urban residents in reducing the lack of health care consumption of rural residents. Accordingly, this paper presents relevant policy recomm endations.This article is divided into six parts:The first part reviews medical reform issued by the State since reform and opening up policy.The second part discusses the current research on China’s health care, mainly from the summary of health equity and health care system.The third section reviews the historical evolution of China’s medical insurance system and overview the health status of China.The fourth part is the core part of this paper, empirical analysis of health care expenditures. After the first two parts of China’s medical status and the process of reform and the effectiveness of discourse, leads to the purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the health care of our residents through empirical analysisThe fifth part is the end of this paper, based on the above analysis, put forward some policy recommendations.
