Comparative Analysis Of Efficacy On Probiotics Treat Ulcerative Colitis

Objectives: To observe the clinical effects of probiotics drug in the treatment of mildand moderate ulcerative colitis. Methods: Data of139patients treated by Probiotics andMesalazine together and Mesalazine only, analyzed and compared during two years in ourhospital, including the time of clinical remission, clinical remission rate, relapse-freetime and relapse rate etc. Results: There were statistical differences (P＜0.05) betweentwo groups in clinical remission rate, relapse-free time and relapse rate. Probiotics andMesalazine together have advantages: high clinical remission rate, long relapse-free timeand low relapse rate. There were no differences (P＞0.05)between two groups in the timeof clinical remission. Conclusion: In treatment of mild and moderate active ulcerativecolitis, Probiotics and Mesalazine together have advantages: high clinical remission rate,long relapse-free time and low relapse rate.
