| Objective: The study focuses on the various factors that affects the treatmentoutcome of amblyopia in children and provide observations on treatment techniques thatcan affect therapeutic efficacy. The study also compares amblyopia treatment efficacybetween the Ji’nan region and the Urumqi region, as well as the treatment efficacybetween the Uygur and the Han people. Methods: A retrospective study that involves40cases and76eyes, spanning from March2010to March2011, in Ji’nan City Eye HospitalCompreshensive Treatment of amblyopia in children, and20cases and32eyes,spanning from March2010to March2011, in Xinjiang Medical University outpatienttreatment of amblyopia in children. Results: after12months of treatment, light, Throughthe eight months of treatment, light, medium, heavy amblyopia treatment efficient ratewere97.2%,73.1%,41.7%.3-6years groups cure rate is highest,3-6age group,7-10agegroup,11-13age group for treatment of effective rate was98.6%,75%,30.4%. In patientswith mild, jinan and urumqi fficient rate of amblyopia were95%and96%. the effectiverate of han and Uighur was98%and95%. Conclusion: The efficacy of treatment ofamblyopia in children has a close relationship with the children’s age and degree ofamblyopia. Finding the best time for treatment can improve the cure rate of amblyopia.Amblyopia cure rate shows not significant statistical relationship between differentregions and ethnic groups. |
