Objective: To describe the anxiety and depression in breast cancer patients during the chemotherapy after operation; Analysis of the impact factors of breast cancer patients with anxiety and depression; To describe the coping style in the patients with breast cancer; To invest the relationship between breast cancer patients with anxiety, depression,coping style and uncertainty in illness. Subjects and methods:Using the descriptive study to describe. Research the160breast cancer patients after the operation during chemotherapy from January in2011to Decemberwho were from the Cancer Hospital. The questionnaire contain the general condition questionnaire the coping questionnaire, self-rating anxiety scale, self-rating depression scale and the uncertainty in illness scale.Using the SPSS17.0statistical software for statistical analysis. Results:1) In the160patients,51.87%with anxitey,62.50%with depression,33.75%with anxiety and depression the mean while.2) A large number of the patients used the "avoidance" and "surrender" coping styles.3) The disease uncertainty in patients with breast cancer were in the middle level.4)The anxiety in breast cancer patients was mainly related to the scores of disease uncertainty,the "confront" coping style,the family income,the cancer metastasis and the depression.5) The depression in breast cancer patients was mainly related to the scores of disease uncertainty,the "surrender" coping style,the age,the cancer metastasis and the anxiety.Conclusion: The chemotherapy after operation in breast cancer patients had a high anxiety and depression, this causes the attention of clinical nurses, the nurses should be in a serious and responsible attitude to patients for health education and psychological counseling.
