PurposesWhen patients are ambiguous about disease information, lack of information and unfamiliar with the hospital environment, they will have a sense of uncertainty in illness, and patients will have psychological pressure, which will affect the rehabilitation of the disease. The purpose of this study was to investigate the current situation of uncertainty in illness, state anxiety, coping style and social support in hospitalized patients with ectopic pregnancy, and to analyze the influencing factors and correlation of uncertainty in illness with ectopic pregnancy.Methods194 ectopic pregnancy patients in a hospital in Guangzhou were selected by convenient sampling method. The questionnaire includes general information questionnaire, state anxiety inventory,Mishel uncertainty in illness scale, simplified coping style questionnaire and social support raring scale. To analyze the collected data, describe thegeneral information with frequency and percentage, describe the score of the scale with mean and standard deviation, use t-test and one-way ANOVA to analyze the general factors affecting state anxiety, coping style, uncertainty in illness and social support.Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship among state anxiety, simple coping, uncertainty in illness and social support with ectopic pregnancy patients.Results(1)the score of uncertainty in illness with ectopic pregnancy patients was 76.28±9.47,the score of state anxiety was 56.48±6.08,55.2%of the patients adopted negative coping style, and the total score of social support raring scale with ectopic pregnancy patients was 34.01±5.43.(2)the general demographic factors affecting the uncertainty of ectopic pregnancy patients were age, education, fetal order, previous history of ectopicpregnancy and marital status(P<0.05).(3)the uncertainty in illness with ectopic pregnancy patients was positively correlated with related state anxiety and negative coping, and social support was also negatively correlated with disease uncertainty and state anxiety(P<0.05).ConclusionThe uncertainty in illness is in the middle level, and the state anxiety is slightly higher than the norm of our country. Most of the patients adopt negative coping style in the face of the disease, and the social support of the patients is similar to the norm of our country. The younger the age, fewer births and unmarried patients, the higher the level of disease uncertainty, and the lower the level of uncertainty in illness of ectopic pregnancy patients and a high level of education. The higher the uncertainty, the more serious the state anxiety. When the patients take a negative way to deal with the disease, the higher the uncertainty, the higher the level of social support will help the patients to recognize and deal with the disease-related situation.Patients with a high level of social support will also have a higher level of natural state anxiety. Therefore, while giving physical care to patients, nurses should also pay more attention to psychological care, actively publicize, communicate frequently to relieve patients’anxiety, guide patients to actively deal with diseases, and encourage patients to make effective use of social support resources, reduce uncertainty.
