Objectives:Carry out dietary survey and dietary knowledge questionnaire on thepatients with Type2Diabetes on the basic of glycemic load,to make further researchthe factors that affect the glycemic load values of patients with Type2Diabetes, inorder to reveal the dietary treatment to the patients with Type2Diabetes withglycemic load and provide a basis for the reasonable dietary guidelines.Methods: Access to knowledge and Diet knowledge about diabetes, consultingexperts and according to clinical experiences and other methods to design andpreparation of the questionnaire.Uniform training investigators and auditors,using fillby patients,fill by investigators,telephone counseling and other forms to conduct aquestionnaire survey.Select250outpatients with Type2Diabetes of the Three-Ahospitals at a city for investigation,the main contents include Sociology ofPopulation and disease of the patients,the24-hour dietary survey and Diet knowledgeof diabetes and the others. The pre-survey and repeat sampling and dual over the dataentry and other methods to control the questionnaire quality. SPSS16.0statisticalpackage and SY diet recipes to develop software to analyze, focusing on analysisof the knowledge of diet and factors of glycemic load.Results:1. Daily diet GL, total daily calories and the three major nutrients were positiveskew distributions. The daily dietary GL value, total daily calories,carbohydrates,proteins and fats of the patients with Type2Diabetes in a city are105.7±39.6,t1367.6±589.8kcal,154.4±54.8g,58.5±25.7g and54.2±36.8g respectively.2. Have statistical significance on the differences of different gender, area of residence,smoking, alcohol consumption, work status, level of education, types of payment formedical expenses and ways of treatments in daily diet GL,related energy and the three major nutrients.3. There was a significant positive correlation between daily dietary GL and lunch GLand daily energy and three major nutrient substance. It has statistical significance thatthe relationship between the diet or\and breakfast GL and the weight, glycatedhemoglobin, C-reactive protein or postprandial2hour reactive protein4. Groups of people with different dietary GL/1000kcal have different cereal foodintake, fat intake, percentage of total energy consumption for dietary carbohydratesand percentage of total energy consumption for fat.5. Through the survey on the diet knowledge of the patients with Type2Diabetes in acity,we knew that the problems of different dimensions had different scores.The dietknowledge,age, educational level, area of residence,family history of diabetes,diabetes education and number of times for which of the patients with Type2Diabetes were the factors affecting the diet knowledge score with multiple linearregression analysis.Conclusions:1. The daily diet GL value, associated energy and three major nutrients of thepatients with Type2Diabetes have differences in gender, area of residence, smoking,alcohol consumption, work status, level of education, types of payment for medicalexpenses and ways of treatments.2. The daily diet GL value, associated energy and three major nutrients of thepatients with Type2Diabetes are all low. There are notable positive correlationsamong the diet and/or lunch GL, daily heat quantity and three major nutrientsubstance intake. For the groups of people with high Dietary GL/1000kcal,the higherintake of cereal foods,the lower intake of fats,on the contrary,the lower intake ofcereal foods,the higher intake of fats; and the lower percentage of energyconsumption for carbohydrates,the higher percentage of energy consumption for fats.3. There are notable positive correlations among the diet and/or lunch GL, dailyheat quantity and three major nutrient substance intake.4. Awareness rate of glycemic index and glycemic load, food exchange shareknowledge is very low in the patients with Type2diabetes.It is necessary the patients with type2diabetic use the method of the combination of the glycemic index,theglycemic load and food exchange share.5. The glycemic index and glycemic load are scientific and practical. We can applythem to dietary healthy education of the patients with Type2diabetes.
