Objectives:This study aims to observe the effect of tang yi prescription to improve the symptoms of patients which are both qi and yin are deficiency, and accompanied by syndrome of blood stasis, meanwhile observe tang yi prescription influence the main correlation factors like HOMA-IR, HOMA-β, FBG,HbAlc and so onMethods:This research refers to the diagnostic standard of diabetes in the Chinese Prevention Guide of Diabetes (2007version) and the Chinese and Western Medical Diabetes (1997version, published by People’s Medical Publishing Houses), in order to diagnose the diabetes mellitus. And it also refers to Diabetes Guidelines for clinical research of TCM in Guiding Principles for New Drug Clinical Research of TCM (2007version), citing60cases of inpatients with diabetes mellitus with syndrome of qi and yin are deficiency meanwhile accompanied with blood stasis,they were divided into two groups:treatment group, control group,30patients for each. Patients from every group were on strict diet and in exercise therapy; insulin pump was regularly used to control their blood sugar level. The treatment group took tang yi prescription, one dose per day, which will be departed into two small bags about200ml to drink after30minutes noon mile and supper at a time; the control group took just insulin pump treatment, The course of treatment lasted for two weeks. The different clinical symptoms of patients before and after the treatment and the improvement of their physical signs were under observation; also their changes of blood-lipid level, HOMA-IR, HOMA-β, FBG, HbAlc and so on after were monitored. By comparing the data, we could draw a conclusion on the efficacy of tang yi prescription in curing2DM. Results:1. In terms of improving clinical symptoms, the total effective rate was90%in the treatment group, and83%in the control group,(P<0.05).2. The trend of HOMA-IR of the two groups all declined, the control group (P<0.05), the treatment groups(P<0.01). Compared with the control group, the treatment groups greatly showed statistic significance (P<0.05).3. The HOMA-β of the two groups were all gonging up after the treatment (P<0.05), which showed a significant statistic difference. But compared with the control group, the treatment group did not had a significantly different ascending (P>0.05).4. The LDL-C, TC and TRIG of the three groups all decreased significantly (P<0.01). After the treatment, the TC, LDL-C, TRIG level of the treatment group had a statistic difference from that of the control group (P<0.05). whi le the HDL-C of two group before and after treatment did not show a significant different ascending. Conclusion:Application of tang yi prescription according to differentiation of symptoms can significantly improving the symptoms of2DM of qi and yin deficiency, and accompanied by blood stasis, which showed tang yi prescription have high efficiency on improving IR and descending HOMA-IR, also can improving pancreatic island cell β function and ascending the HOMA-β, tang yi prescription can also improve clinical symptoms; it can ameliorate TC, LDL-C and TRIG quickly and manifestly.tang yi prescription is an effective cure for2DM patients.
