Effect Of Pnf And Comprehensive Rehabilitation Therapy For Patients With Paraplegia Of Thoracic And Waist Segment Spinal Cord Injury

Objective:Survey effect of early PNF with Regular exercise therapy, HBO and Acupuncture rehabilitation therapy on recovery of patients with paraplegia of thoracic waist spinal cord injury.Method:From March2010to September2011, choose30patients of spinal cord injury and incomplete paraparesis on low Thoracic spinal(T8-12) and Lumbar spinal (L1～5),According to Frankels’grading,6of B grade,19of C grade,5of D grade.Randomly divided into two groups,15case uesing the PNF with Regular exercise therapy,HBO and Acupuncture rehabilitation therapy approach (group A), and other15eases uesing the Regular exercise therapy, HBO and Acupuncture rehabilitation approach (group B). All patients of two groups make surgery of Vertebral lamina resection, Reduced spinal cord compression and Spinal internal fixation. Rehabilitation therapy in one week after surgery, rehabilitation therapy for3months, one month after treatment and six month after treatment,Compare tow group of Frankel grade score, Motion score, Feeling score and Barthel scale in before, Enumeration data use Wilcoxon Test and Measurement data use t-test.Result:Frankel grade, Motion score, Feeling score and Barthel scale of patients of two groups improve significant after treatment (P＜0.05).One month after rehabilitation therapy,group A, grade of Frankel, C grade have7patients, D grade have6patients, Motion score71.47±4.64, Feeling score71.80±2.59, Barthel scale64.87±1.68.group B, grade of Frankel, C grade have8patients, D grade have5patients, Motion score65.60±3.07, Feeling score68.47±4.37, Barthel scale61.53±2.09, Compared material of patients between the two groups, the difference have Statistical significance (P＜0.05).Six month after rehabilitation therapy,group A, grade of Frankel, D grade have8patients, E grade have3patients, Motion score81.80±2.95, Feeling score81.93±1.98, Barthel scale80.13±3.27,group B, grade of Frankel, D grade have6patients, E grade have1patients, Motion score76.93±2.60, Feeling score78.87±2.03, Barthel scale74.40±2.38, Compared material of patients between the two groups, the difference have Statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion:PNF with Regular exercise therapy, HBO and Acupuncture is a perfect rehabilitation therapy approach with improve sports ability and selfcare ability on recovery of patients with paraplegia of thoracic waist spinal cord injury.
