The Discussion Of Level Of Serum MMP-9in The Patients With Different Stages COPD And COPD-IPF

Objective To observe the effects of serum MMP-9in patients of different stageCOPD and COPD combined with pulmonary interstitial fibrosis and to discuss effectsin the pathogenesis of COPD.Methods9COPD-IPF,20AECOPD,31stable COPD and26health persons wereselected respectively. Blood samples from each one were obtained. The levels ofserum MMP-9were tested using double-antibody sandwich ELISA.Results The levels of serum MMP-9in the COPD-IPF group were higher than thosein the AECOPD, stable COPD and control groups (p＜0.05). The levels of serumMMP-9in the AECOPD group were higher than those in the stable COPD and thecontrol groups(p＜0.05). The level of MMP-9in the stable COPD is higher than thatof control group(p＜0.05).Conclusion The serum MMP-9may play a certain role in the pathogenesis. Itshowed that pulmonary interstitial fibrosis may progress with the growth of COPD.
