The Clinical Observation And Analysis Of The ClassⅡ Deep Overbite And Overjet Malocclusion’s Othodontic Treatment With Full Synchronizing Ribbon Arch Appliance

Objective: To explore the clinical effect and treatment characteristics of the ClassⅡdeepoverbite and overjet malocclusion case’s correction by using full synchronizing ribbon archappliance to open occlusion, control the torque of the anterior teeth and maintain the lower faceheight.Materials and Methods: A13years old patient suffering from Angle’s ClassⅡdeep overbiteand overjet malocclusion was selected.This case was treated by full synchronizing ribbon archappliance, it aligns the teeth, close the space,extracts the anterior teeth and opens occlusionsynchronized. The cephalograms were compared before and after treatment.Result: The course of this orthodontic treatment is14months. Remarkable retraction of theupper anterior teeth can be observed while the torque of them are normal. At the same time,overbiteand overjet are decreased to normal, the facial prominence is improved and the lower face height ismaintained.Conclusion: One case of ClassⅡdeep overbite and overjet malocclusion is treated effectivelyby full synchronizing ribbon arch technique.
