| Objective:To explore correction process of the ClassⅡdeep overbite malocclusion cases by using reverse-curve arch wires to control the overbite and axis of incisors.Materials and Methods:A 16 years old patient suffering from Angle's ClassⅡsubdivision 1 malocclusion combined with deep overbite were selected。Treated by straight wire appliance and extracted four first premolars. By using reverse-curve arch wires to control the overbite and the axis of incisor.Result:The course of this orthodontic treatment is30 months. Changes were occurred for overbite and overjet after treatment. Overjet and overbite were decreased from II deep overbite combined andⅡdeep overjet to normal at the same time the axis is normal.Conclusion:Reverse-curve arches were used in the early stage, overbite were decreased effectively. In the closing stages of extraction reverse-curve arches were used to control overbite and the axis of incisor effectively. |
