Study On The Color Characteristics And Its Conservation Of Historic Building Of Tianjin

Since the21st century, along with the rapid development of industrialization andurbanization, regional boundaries are dying out and many modern architectures werebuilt in disorder. In such case, the color characteristics of cities are disappearinggradually, and the trend of the thousand loan-back features are presented in China. Atthe same time, as the urban management system is not perfect, a large number ofhistoric buildings are in the edge of destruction or have been destroyed. Tianjin is acity which has a history of over six hundred years, and its value lies in the blendbetween Chinese traditional culture and Western civilization in the past hundred years.Tianjin’s modern and contemporary historic buildings, especially the architecturalcolor, are the most powerful carrier of its urban context. However, because of theinfluence of Tangshan earthquake and Tianjin urbanization, they were destroyed bydifferent degrees, and they should be protected and repaired imminently.The paper used the historic building color and quantitative research onarchitectural color as the point of penetration, based on the sample survey aboutTianjin’s modern and contemporary historic buildings, tried to take a preliminaryanalysis of the color characteristics of historic buildings and created a color resourcedatabase of Munan street, even over the whole Tianjin city. Then, the paper exploredthe color characteristics and influence factors of Tianjin’s modern and contemporaryhistoric buildings and put forward the target of setting up the color resource databaseof Tianjin’s modern and contemporary historic buildings. At last, the paper took apreliminary study about the principles, strategies and repair methods about its colorprotection. All of above try to provide some new ideas and methods for Tianjin’surban color development and a better continue of it’s urban context.
