As the scarce and essential non-renewable resource, land is the material basis ofhuman survival, which is the main objective of land use planning, protection andcontrol in national countries. Based on the basic national conditions, so “cherish everyinch of land”, economical and intensive utilization of land resources are the obviouschoices to promote regional sustainable development and change the land use stylefrom inefficient to intensive and efficient. However, in the pursuit of highly intensiveuse of land, we often neglected the pressure, which is land highly intensive brought tothe ecological environment. The coupling between the land intensive use and theeco-environment is one of the important issues to explore regional sustainabledevelopment. Through influences of the atmospheric environment, water environment, noise environment and biodiversity, the intensive use of land that can cause somedamage to the ecological environment. The quality of the ecological environment isthe basic protection of land-use sustainable development and intensive land use. Thecoordinated development of land intensive use and ecological environment ensuresustainable socio-economic development.Combined with the degree of coupling, coordination of coupling in time andspace, this paper explores the mutual coupling status between agricultural land(construction land) intensive use and eco-environmental systems in Ganzhou. In thisstudy, it has been presented that the measures of coordinated development of landintensive use and the ecological environment: Coordinated development between landintensive use and ecological environment was effectively promoted by improving thelevel of land intensive use, continuing to strengthen ecological environmentprotecting and construction, carrying out land ecological planning, and establishmentof environment-friendly land use pattern. These measures will help people to bettergrasp the status of coordination degree between land use and future developmenttrends, and improve the overall efficiency of the intensive use of landcomprehensively in order to guide our country or regional sustainable land use anddevelopment. The results included:(1) Since2000, the level of agricultural land intensive useare a slight downward trend, but construction land have a little improve. The level ofdevelopment of ecological environment has showed an upward trend in volatility.(2)From the timing of coordinated development, the coupling level of development of agricultural land (construction land) intensive use and the ecological environment wasdecrease (increase) year by year in the whole from2000to2009.(3) In2009, there aresignificant regional differences of coupling type in Ganzhou, and the level of couplingdevelopment show "center-periphery" spatial distribution. That is to say, thetownships (towns), which belong to the type of moderate disorders ecologicaldominant, are concentrated in developed, including built-up areas. The townships(towns) belong to the type of moderate disorders land intensive use dominant aredeveloping.(4)The19townships (towns) in Ganzhou would be divided into threecategories in accordance coupling degree and coupling development degree becauseof difference in economic development, natural environment, and policies factors.
