The Coordinated Development Research Of The Regional Water Resources And Economy

Environment is both the cause and the core issue of sustainable development. With the fast development of economy and the rapid growth of population, the energy crisis coming and the environment being destroyed day by day, regional sustainable development has become the important and hot problem in current international and civil research. Ecological footprint theory has already been extensively applied into the study of sustainable development for its many advantage, such as the precise theory framework, simple method of calculation and direct way of expression.In this paper, the ecological footprint method was used to assess the sustainability of water resources development quantitatively from 2003 to 2005 for Nanjing, The change tendency of ecological footprint and its main influencing factors in Nanjing were analyzed for the last 7 years; Factor analysis model was introduced to analyze the 11 years'related data from 1999 to 2009, the comprehensive evaluation in the social and economic capacity of water resources, and the sustainable utilization of the water resource status. From 2006 to 2009, there was a wave in the water social economic capacity of Nanjing, because there's a water consumption beginning in 2006, the water consumption increased rapidly to years of the highest level to 2009, and the water resources development and utilization also corresponding became larger. It can be seen from the overall water ecological carrying capacity was fluctuated downward trend, the ecological footprint also tended to decline, to a certain extent, this affected the sustainable use of water resources in Nanjing. Comprehensive analysis to see, based on ecological footprint theory to study social economic carrying capacity of water resources, there was a great significance on the sustainable utilization of water resources in certain areas, and the coordinated development of water resources with the social economy.The paper emphasizes on both theory and practicability, it was summarized that the main results of this study, and the deficiency and prospects in this chapter. I put forward my proposal and preventive measures on the coordination development of Regional water resources and social economy.
