Quantitative Analysis Based On Ssci Research Situation Of China Social Science

Social science is a complete system. We can grasp its essence only by in-depth research on its subjectstructure, theory morphology, change trendency&science communication, carry out its scientificorganization&guide,work out a series of policies including organizing research and teaching, developingsocial science&applying its achievements. Therefore China social science analysis&evaluation not onlyneeds qualitative analysis but also needs more scientific,objective,reasonable&fair data to analyze itsresearch work&achievements to discover its role during social changes&reveal its position in moderninternational social science development.This paper makes use of WOS network platform to obtain the relative data on China social sciencefield during the retrieval time span&conducts the relative analysis&research based on such data. We findout its development principle&the current key problem by carrying out quantitative analysis on Chinasocial science paper status collected in SSCI during year2000&2009and researching its overall issuancequantity, change trendency,subject layout,advantage&cooperation and so on from different perspectivessuch as Chinese SSCI paper quantity,time,subject,periodical,citation, key word,author,national cooperation.The research results indicate the following:Quantity of our national social science research paper hasbeen increasing year by year. Subjects on economics, management, psychopathology, commerce&psychology has become hot focus of our social science field&become more stable. Cross cooperation andintegration trendency between subjects have become evident day by day. Boundary division betweensubjects becomes More and more vaguer.Longitudinal development between different subjects has beensped up while horizontal cooperation&integration trendency has increased gradually at the sametime.These developments show that our social science development has been keeping pace with the internationalsocial science,reflect our continuous social science progress&ever-increasing internationalization.Basically,periodical variety has been keeping steady increasing for ten years.The distribution of our literaturejournals participated in SSCI has been expanding&English becomes the key published language type.Thisis due to the component of most foreign journals collected in SSCI.The paper citation situation hasgradually increasing for ten years between2000&2009&information exchanges has been enhancing.key word volume has been everincreasingly growing in ten years.Among them, pattern, performance,HongKong, behavior, management,USA, information, influence, health and risk are keywords of highfrequency. Research topics indicate our important focus&hot concerns of our China social science inrecent decade.USA, UK,Canada, Australia are our major international partners in our social science reasearch field.The top7high yield institutions published more than1000China social science documents in ten year areChinese University of Hong Kong,Hongkong University, Hongkong University of Science and Engineering,City University of Hong Kong, Chinese Academy of Sciences,Peking University&Hong Kong Universityof Science and Technology.Two of the most high yield foreign institutions are National University ofSingapore and Harvard University. We find that USA has paid close attention to China among foreigncountries while most documents on China social science published in SSCI have been basically publishedin several universities of Hongkong. Chinese participative author number of SSCI papers has been steadlyincreasing in ten years,reflecting the development of our social science research team at full speed&rapidexpansion. Paper number of independent author has been decreasing gradually while paper number of jointauthors has been keeping increasing,which show enhanced scientific collaboration between modern socialsciences.This is also the inevitable trend of development of21st century social science.
