With the continuous improvement of the economy, the requirements of home life have changed from having resting place to paying more attention to the comfort and facilitation of the home environment. Today, network technology, embedded technology, wireless communication technologies are profoundly changing the world, the smart new concept and intelligent social are gradually gaining the affirmation of people,'Smarter Planet' will be the next big trend.This thesis has ZigBee protocol as the basis, planning and designing the features and functions of the future smart appliances, raising the integration design of smart appliances based on ZigBee, discussing the compatibility, dynamic monitoring and intelligent features of the terminal control program. Through the hardware and software of developing of ZigBee node, as well as terminal control procedures to verify the stability of the ZigBee-based wireless sensor networks. The specific design elements are as follows:The overall design:the ZigBee node collects a variety of data and transporting information to the coordinator node with wireless transmission, coordinator node communicate with PC through the serial port, the PC machine is a terminal controller, access to information and information and display to the interface.Hardware design of ZigBee node includes the design of the battery power supply module, LCD design, button design, the design of the RS-232serial communications, sensor module design and select the production of TI's CC2430single-chip as the processor. The main content of the node software development mainly research the achieving of TI's ZigBee protocol stack code, using the IAR Integrated Development Environment for software development, calling interface functions provided by the protocol stack for network formation and information transmission, and with the serial communication to communicate with host computer.PC monitoring program is written by Visual C#, and the main development work is through the RS232serial port programming, database module programming and monitoring interface design to communicate between the PC side and ZigBee coordinator communication, show and remote control the operational status of the entire system and store data. Finally this thesis gives a brief introduction of GPRS and discusses the integration of sensor networks and road GPRS network, to achieve remote control of home appliances network.
